As many of you are aware, I am currently bringing horror literature to the masses with in-depth critiques and reviews in each issue of Scream Magazine. The current issue (four) features reviews of Hater by David Moody and Deadfall by Shaun Jeffrey. Each review clocks in at an impressive one thousand words. Given that horror literature is usually given little to no coverage in mainstream horror mags (is that an oxymoron?) this is a fantastic step in the right direction. Fret not, we’ll be taking more steps like that very soon!
Next issue (five) will feature a full review of Wayne Simmons‘ Drop Dead Gorgeous, however for now I present to you a cut-down, more succinct assessment of his richly developed, Belfast based, apocalyptic adventure. Enjoy!
